Orchid Fragrance Judging

Prosthechea radiata won the 2019 competition with a scent of root beer.

This year, for the second time, the Hilo Orchid Show will include fragrance judging.  A group of fragrant orchids will be set aside for this competition.  Fragrance judging will be by the people's choice.  Attendees vote for the orchid with their favorite fragrance on Friday and Saturday.  The winner at the previous show was Prosthechea radiata, grown by Dorothy Imagire, with a strong scent of root beer.
