The Hilo Orchid Society meets at 2pm on the second Saturday of each month at the Komohana Ag Extension Complex at 875 Komohana Street in Hilo, Hawaii. Meetings feature a display of members' flowers, knowledgeable speakers on culture, breeding, travelogues, shows, judging and many other aspects of growing orchids, a plant forum with commentary on selected members' plants and a drawing to win plants.

We have American Orchid Society judging on the third Friday of each month, sponsered by the Society.

We have a monthly newsletter with announcements of meeting speakers and activities, the President's message, a review of the previous meeting and pictures of the People's Choice Awards and any AOS awarded plants.

The Society's Annual Show is presented each year in the Edith Kanaka'ole Stadium. World class displays, orchid plant displays, videos and demonstrations are prominent features of the Show.

Guided annual trips to the Kona Orchid Club Show and Sale, the Daifukuji Orchid Club Show and Sale.

Dues are $20 for a single member and $25 for a family household for one year.
