Monthly meetings currently take place at the Kamana Senior Center, 127 Kamana Street, Hilo, Hawaii at 2:00 PM. Everyone is invited to come early (doors open at 1:30) to talk story with other orchid enthusiasts.

Meetings feature a display of members' flowers, and knowledgeable speakers on growing and breeding orchids, travelogues, shows, judging or many other aspects of orchid culture.We have refreshments between the end of the introductory informational portion of the meeting and the main speaker. Visitors are always welcome and there is no charge.

Our society sponsors American Orchid Society judging on the third Friday of each month.

We have a monthly newsletter with announcements of meeting speakers and activities, the President's message,and other information of interest to our members.

The Society's Annual Show is presented each year in the Edith Kanaka'ole Stadium. World class orchid displays, and demonstrations are prominent features of the Show as well as opportunities to purchase orchids and orchid related items.

The society sponsors, when sufficient members are interested, guided annual trips to the Kona Orchid Club Show and Sale, the Daifukuji Orchid Club Show and Sale and guided commerical grower tours.

The Society is organized under the laws of the State of Hawai'i, and approved by the Internal Revenue Service as an educational non-profit organization.
